| Heh...I couldn't forgive myself if I didn't post this news tidbit.
Apparently, William Shatner will be guest-hosting WWE's Monday Night RAW next Monday night, February 1st (9/8PM CT)---from the Sommet Center (formerly the Nashville Arena) in Nashville, Tennessee.
The Shat has made a couple of appearances on WWE-related programs over the years, most notably this confrontation with Jerry "The King" Lawler from 1995, Where he was plugging his "Tekwar" TV series (ugh).
Monday should be a fun night...can't wait! :) | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment |
| I can't believe I missed it...James Spader was on The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson last night AGAIN...and not a rerun either! That man's gone talk show crazy!!! Apparently he'll be appearing on Broadway later this year in David Mamet's new play, "Race", and was on the Late Late Show to plug it. That, and to provide commentary on Shatner & himself in drag. :)
Spader stars in "Race" alongside David Alan Grier, Kerry Washington (BL's Chelina Hall), and Richard Thomas. Here's the link to the play's official website & the Ferguson interview from last night's Late Late Show below:

| Some news that might be of interest to Boston Legal fans...I recently heard that Saffron Burrows (Lorraine Weller, BL Season 4) has been cast to replace the departing Julianne Nicholson on USA Network's Law & Order: Criminal Intent as the new partner for Jeff Goldblum's character (Det. Zach Nichols).
Additionally, she's just one part of the big casting shake-up for Law & Order: Criminal Intent's next season, as series leads Vincent D'Onofrio (Det. Robert Goren), Kathryn Erbe (Det. Alexandra Eames) and Eric Bogosian (Capt. Daniel Ross) are expected to be phased out at various points during the series' upcoming ninth season, leaving Jeff Goldblum & Saffron Burrows as the series' two principal leads.
It's unknown, but presumed highly doubtful that the producers will add yet another second pair of detectives thus returning their long-used storytelling method of alternate back & forth between the two pairs of detectives and following them on-screen while working on new cases...a practice that has been in use for L&O C.I for the series since 2005's 5th season. As the 9th season progresses, it seems extremely likely that Jeff Goldblum & Saffron Burrows are set to be the show's only recurring pair of detectives, and no second pair are presumed to be added for the show to alternate between.
D'Onofrio has been very popular in his role over the years, But "L&O:CI" is a USA Network show, previously running on sister channel NBC. And USA, insiders point out, prefers Goldblum's lighter, Monk-style character to D'Onofrio's darker character. D'Onofrio made a public statement on the casting news, saying that: "After eight seasons, and with the addition of Jeff Goldblum, now is the perfect time for me to explore other acting opportunities," He also added that: "I wouldn't be surprised if Goren pops up from time to time."

| Justice Scalia was at Pepperdine University and was asked a question about Boston Legal.
Click here to see his response. It's worth it. BL starts at the 1:36 mark and goes to about 2:10.
Who wants to send him the final episode so he can watch it?

| There's a poll at the ABA Journal website for favorite legal show. BL is in first place right now. Can it stay that way though?
